How to modelling flat slab?

HAVE A GOOD DAY
I'VE A DOUBT TO MY PROJECT WHILE ASSIGNING THE FLAT SLAB AND AFTER CHECKING THE DEFLECTION I NOTED THAT THE IDECAD CONSIDERED THE CONCRETE DIRECTION LENGTH AS A SPAN OF SLAB"OUT TO OUT EDGE" MEAN THE INTERIOR SPANS HAD NEGLECTED.
PLEASE NEED YOUR TIPS.

Hi Ammer,

Sometimes, ideCAD doesn't consider columns to calculate span of the slab . You have to modify the slab span which is considered on deflection and thckness limit.

To modify, click slab design strip (i am not sure how it's called english version of ideCAD) button on slab toolbar. Find "clear span for thickness" checkbox and change value. Turkish screenshot is below.

i want to know how idecad will calculate the deflections for different spaces my between columns, as i thick in my model that they calculated the deflection according to the concrete lines (11m and 19m)

Hi Ammer,

ideCAD is calculating all slab system with finite elements, we have got elastic(sudden) deflections on all web nods after analysing slab systems. Concrete lines does not required for that. You may see deflection on 3d view related to cases.



After calculating deflections we are adding related time deflection to sudden deflection according to TS 500 code.

In this point, we need span for deflection controls. it is not clear to idecad to find span from between columns like in your project. We are getting span from concrete lines.

You may consider to divide slab to more slabs by using slab edge command to get different spans for deflection control





Please note that the suggestion that Mr Erhan wrote above is not working for deflection control's span.

to do this, user need to know that what head and middle strip's span could be... Its not clear in your non-orthogonal system. But elastic deformations may give some opinion to user by checking on 3d view.

I am adding a sample project according to my opinion.
