hello
even when i increased the depth of the cantilever beam and reduced the loads ,the deflection was greater than the allowable limits.
what are your recommends?
Simply increasing height of beam is enough to solve this problem but sometimes you'll need to increase height of other beams or columns around it, because of whole system deformations. Please check deflection diagram in beam reinforcement dialog and decide what you'll need to do and try it.
hello dear
thank you very much it was too helpful...i agree with you the sudden deflection not effect exactly.but according to ACI CODE 318 the effective depth=span/8 and we have 1.75m so we need 22cm depth....but here doesn't works why?

If you uncheck the option of "always check deflection" on Crack/ Corrision Tab in Beam Settings, program will check only beam's span if deflection is required according to TS500.
